Creator of the One New Man

11Jun

Ephesians 2, verses 11 through 22 speaks of being one in Christ. In this section, Paul speaks of two groups of people, the Gentiles and the children of Israel who were seperated, as Paul says, "alienated from the commonweath of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world" in Ephesians 2:12. When Christ was incarnated 2,000 years ago, He not only fulfilled many prophescies, but aslo abolished, through His death, the law and ordinances that were being observed and which kept the two groups of people apart. Through this process, we were created into one new man and reconciled into one Body (Eph. 2:15-16).

Abolishing in His flesh the law of the commandments in ordinances, that He night create  the two in Himself into one new man, so making peace, and might reconcile both in one Body to God through the cross, having slain the enmity by it.
